Health

What some might call the “sound of progress,” others might call a health hazard.  The noise from wind turbines can be hazardous to your health.  Although this short video has nothing but praise for industrial wind development, many people feel it is a sound that should never be in anyone’s backyard.  Why not?  Noise from wind turbines does not affect everyone, but there is growing evidence that noise from turbines can cause wind turbine syndrome.  Some people get ringing in the ears, headaches, dizziness, chest discomfort.  Noise can interrupt sleep, causing stress which leads to heart disease and other stress-related illness.

Listen to this turbine and decide if you want it near your home.  Oh that’s right, most of us can’t decide.  Industrial wind companies will decide for you, if local or state governments don’t enact strict setbacks to wind projects.

Our apologies in advance for the commercial that precedes the news clip.
